1. LiL Crow Cabin & Bunkie
‘Feels like home and is hard to leave.’ That’s the sentiment from guests who experience this special space nestled along the shores of the Bay of Quinte in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Uniquely adorned with local nicknacks and antiques, LiL Crow Cabin has an adults-only retro vibe – and is the oasis you have been searching for when dreaming of relaxing. Complete with a hot tub and private gazebo, the cabin is an oasis of re-connection. No reason to leave anyone behind – the hands-off cabin experience is also home to a glamping bunkie which can be rented separately in the warmer months.
2. Montrose Inn and Tea Room
Experience a full, three-course high tea while staying at the Montrose Inn. This gorgeous example of ‘antebellum’ architecture offers four well-appointed rooms featuring original artwork, antiques, luxurious linens, and amenities. Take in the grand parlour, explore the library, relax on the verandah or stroll the beautifully manicured grounds. Delight in luxury and savour high tea on select afternoons!
3. Merrill House
Dating back to the late 1800s and renowned for its playful character and triple gabled tower, Merrill House is something to behold. It’s one of the best-known houses in Prince Edward County and features 14 individually-designed rooms and suites set in different time periods and places. This is one of the most interesting and memorable boutique hotel experiences around. Modern meets memorable here with French cuisine, fine art and antiques, conservatory bar, sauna, balconies, and even a virtual reality lounge.
4. Angeline’s Inn
Angeline’s Inn in Bloomfield is proud to offer a unique design boutique experience that pays tribute to the County’s heritage. From a stunning original 1860s log cabin to a rustic retreat with luxury amenities or a coach loft with the comfiest bed around, Angeline’s Inn has it all featuring lush gardens in warmer months and serenity as a quiet escape in winter. Rumour has it that the Trudeau’s even stayed here.
5. Drake Motor Inn
The Drake Motor Inn accomplishes the perfect mix of the traditional roadside motel we all know and love with modern touches that make it a place to remember. This is where retro design details segue into a trendy weekend escape from the city. Even better, this hip ode to mid-century motels is welcoming to pooches so you don’t have to leave Rover at home. 6. The Wilfrid Inn
And now for something completely different! If you’re aching to embody the country life and feel the stress melt away, find your calm at The Wilfrid Inn. This restored 1850s farmhouse boutique hotel, spa and vineyard is in the heart of Prince Edward County – and will soon find its way into your heart, too. 7. The Edward
The Edward offers three luxury suites, but it’s also expanding to include The Edward Loft, which will have a separate bedroom for kids, a handy kitchenette and all the extras that visiting families love – a changing table, baby bath and pop-up crib. 8. Fitzroy Fieldhouse
This mid-century inspired home is located in a peaceful setting away from the busy County roads. Enjoy easy living by the beach during the daytime and after dusk, head out to Wellington for great restaurants. Our favourite highlights include four bike rentals, North beach passes, and five beds (king, queen, two full, and futon)
9. The Prince Edward County Church
This stunning 132-year-old church has been recently restored as a new accommodation for The County. Soaring ceilings, massive space, and unique modern bedrooms make this a designer’s dream! Bask in beautiful views of the Bay of Quinte and enjoy the three-acre property – all to yourself!
10. The Eddie
The iconic red barn. The carriage house. Orchards, a pond, access to the Millennium Trail, gardens and even newly refurbished suites. Newly reopened in spring 2021, The Eddie dates back to 1860 but is anything but stodgy. Offering overnight elegant or cozy-chic accommodations, The Eddie in Prince Edward County is also an enchanting wedding and event venue. 14. The Frontenac Cabin
A curated waterfront cabin retreat with a sauna that sleeps the whole squad? Yes, please! The Frontenac delivers on all the nature and cabin style that one would expect from a stay in Frontenac County, but is so much more. Nestled among the trees on a private bay, guests enjoy this step up from the traditional cottage. The Whitney Manor is one of the oldest limestone structures in the Kingston area, being built in 1817 – but now draws on its unique history and character to be re-imagined for the 21st century. 19. The Victorian
We’re big fans of the village of Westport, so naturally, we were excited to hear about The Victorian. This heritage home was originally built in the 1800s and has recently been refreshed with all of the right touches. The Loft sleeps four and comes with a full kitchen (with an oven and a dishwasher). This is a stand-out spot for staying!
20. Furnace Falls Farm
Take part in an authentic farm-to-fork experience at Furnace Falls Farm near Lyndhurst. This century farm across the road from Wendy’s Country Market has been renovated and restored in anticipation of its next hundred years. Stay in one of three newly-updated private rooms each fully equipped with luxurious ensuites. A talented culinary team kicks the experience up a notch, and guests have the opportunity to dine on first-class, farm-fresh cuisine. It is also a working farm, growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers for market, preservation, sale to restaurants, and use at their own events.
21. Le Boat
Aching to get out on the water? Le Boat can make it happen seamlessly with boating holidays on the beautiful Rideau Canal. Captain your own boat and discover the first-hand one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century: the stunning Rideau Canal is the oldest continuously-operated canal system in North America. 22. Daisy Hill Bed And Breakfast
At Daisy Hill Bed and Breakfast a hot breakfast and a warm welcome await with waterfront on Millhaven Creek Conservation Area. This 1880s farmhouse is restored to early century charm and lays out the red carpet for guests. Landscaped grounds, a waterfall feature and patio allow guests to enjoy the outdoors overlooking the river. Daisy Hill is known as a bridal party favourite (and in fact has a bridal suite!).
