In a meat-eaters world, it can be pretty frustrating to find good Vegan and Vegetarian options that won’t hurt the wallet. We love our animal-loving friends and wanted to share some of the best spots around for you to enjoy when your tummy starts growling. Lucky for us, many restaurants in South Eastern Ontario accommodate Vegans and Vegetarians.

This beautiful restaurant has an equally beautiful history, having been started decades ago by Chef Leah’s great grandmother Stella. Depending on the local businesses in SEO, Stella’s uses fresh ingredients to prepare and create great dishes including vegetarian options like their beet and kale tartine, and ricotta dumplings.

PICNIC PEC

Sushi Sun

We know this list would not be complete without a little bit of everyone’s favourite – sushi. If you didn’t know, sushi rice is actually vegan, so as long as you select some toppings that follow your preference,  you can definitely enjoy some delicious Japanese cuisine in Gananoque. This mom and pop shop will take you thousands of miles away with its dining experience.

Riva

The plight of a vegetarian or vegan who tries to enjoy a night out for dinner is the limited number of menu options and lack of variety. Riva understands how frustrating that is so they have added creative and unique vegetarian menu choices such as eggplant stuffed with cheese on a bed of tomato sauce and the Piato Vegetarian.

If these places don’t get your mouth watering, call a place you have been eyeing. You may surprise yourself with their extended menu and offerings!
