Halloween doesn’t need to be solely about scary activities. You can still get in the Halloween spirit without screaming your head off! But if you’re into that, we have included a few things you can do as well.
1. Haunted Walks
There is so much to be discovered in the heart of Kingston that can only be told by touring the area itself. Follow your haunted tour guide through the spooky streets to Sydenham Ward, hotels, hidden graves and much more and learn the history that haunts the streets. If you are lucky you won’t be spooked by an apparition from Kingston’s twisted past.
2. Pumpkinferno At Fort Henry
Wonderlands aren’t just for Alice or Winter, this year travel to the historically haunted Fort Henry and see it transformed into an spellbinding experience filled with glowing pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and designs to fill your heart with Halloween Spirit. This event is family friendly and children aged 4 and under can join in the fun for free!
3. Ghost & Mystery Kingston Trolly Tour
If you aren’t brave enough to be chased away by ghosts take a safer tour of Kingston’s haunted streets on the Ghost & Mystery Kingston Trolly Tour! On this 90 minute tour, you will be taken off the beaten path to notable sites like the Rockwood Asylum and the Kingston Penitentiary. Learn all about the notorious neighbourhoods that played a role in Kingston’s history.

4. Brockville Museum Ghost Walks
Hurry and grab yourself a ticket to one of the special evenings this October in Brockville. You and your family are invited beyond the Brockville Museum walls to learn about the dark history that haunts the Brockville streets. Your tour guide will fill you in on all things supernatural, as well as sharing some of the worst-kept-secrets like abandoned graves and hangings that happened over a century ago.
5. The Aquatarium Escape Room
This new spooky experience will be running exclusively Thursdays – Sundays from September 30th to October 31st! Add on their ropes course for more adventure!
6. Graveyard & Gallows tour and Ghosts of Camp Picton
During the day Picton is the center for peace, beauty and a connection to nature. At night that connection becomes much more ghostly! This year you can follow your sinister guide through a candlelit walk in a graveyard and even tour a nearby courthouse where souls are sure to have remained.
7. Scarecrow Festival
Help locals participate in fundraising for The Department of Illumination (cool name, right?), in its 11th year of scarecrow-making for all ages. Book your spot ahead of time and spend up to an hour checking out all of the amazing scare-crows and even make one of your own to take home!

8. Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village
Who says Halloween can’t be romantic? We disagree! Take your special someone on a beautiful walk through Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village. Fall in love all over again while you stroll through a hauntingly beautiful outdoor exhibit of about 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins, set against a stirring night-time backdrop.
9. Acres of Terror: Cannamore Orchards
Top on the list of most terrifying activities in South Eastern Ontario goes to Cannamore Orchards. Their Acres of Terror is more than just a visit, it’s an experience with four parts: The Spooky Wagon Ride, a hybrid haunted funhouse known as the “House of Terror”, an interactive Spooky Village with seven houses to visit and a terrifying fog maze where you may get caught by the fog creature if you can’t find your way out quick enough! Daytime programming is modified to be family-friendly, while the evening experience is for those who are looking for a good scare!
10.Williamstown Discovery and Ghost Walk (hosted by Sir John Johnson Manor House)
If you are confident in your ghost hunting skills, plan a visit to the Sir John Johnson Manor House located in Williamstown. This historic home has plenty of haunted history, so bring the right equipment and you may just find proof of the unknown. Tickets are limited so make sure you pick the right partners and book quickly!
11. SDG Historic Jail – Cornwall
Nothing says creepy like a historic jail! Phantoms Of Yore and The Haunted Walk are hosting paranormal investigations at the Historic SDG Jail. Gather a group and go inside to investigate one of the most sought-after haunted sites in Ontario. Lock yourself up in one of the old cells or take a tour through the gallows, surveillance area and exercise yard. You might even meet an old prisoner or two if you’re lucky.

12. Kreepy Kemptville Walking Tour (Self Guided)
It is no secret that small towns often hold the darkest history. Why not see if you can face the darkness on a walking tour with just you and your family and friends guiding yourselves through the various haunted locations in Kemptville. With eight locations rich with history, you are going to want to charge your phone in case you catch a glimpse of something not-so-human lurking in the darkness. 13.Olde Magick-Prescott
Nothing says Halloween like magic, and nothing says magic like a true magick. If you didn’t know, magick relates directly to the occult, and at Olde Magick in Prescott you can find all your witchcraft and wizardry needs including stunning charged crystals, tarot cards, candles and many more spiritual artifacts.
14. Wynn Farms Corn Maze
The spook level is low for those who aren’t into getting the pants scared off of them! Wynn Farms Safari is a majestic corn maze that represents a journey through the safari, where you can collect images on your way, complete different tasks and try to make your way out without getting turned around! Great for kids and adults of all ages. There’s also Haunted HalloWYNN, which features a famous cast of fictional characters.
