A true Italian Grille in the small town of Trenton is anything but small in terms of portion sizes. This waterfront eatery always serves up incredible plates that are fresh and made daily. Enjoy an “antipasti” before your meal to stimulate your taste buds such as their garlic-butter infused escargot or house-made bruschetta and feta. Then choose from a large menu of Italian inspired dishes like Penne Diavolo or veal parmigiana.

3. Burger Revolution

Nothing beats an amazing burger. It combines all the important food groups :bread, meat…occasionally vegetables. Burger Revolution knows a thing or two about making delicious burgers. Next time you’re in the area try “The Rebel.”A 5oz beef (or vegetable) patty with roasted garlic mayo, potato chips, tomato, lettuce, cheddar, jalapeno slices, and avocado spread.

4. Toro Sushi

Locals rave about Toro Sushi being the best place to find Asian cuisine in the Quinte area. With an extremely attentive staff, gluten-free and vegan-friendly options, you can dine-in or take-out and be completely satisfied with your meal. Try out the Seattle Roll if your into something spicy, or keep it light with their vegetarian avocado rolls.

5. Sugar Mama’s Bake Shoppe Inc

You will leave feeling glazed and amazed after stepping into this delicious bakery in Belleville. This spot is the sweet-tooths dream with an incredible selection of baked goods from waffles to cupcakes to cheesecake and donuts! Stop in for some homemade waffles for breakfast, or grab a plate of cupcakes to go. We recommend stopping in early as they can’t keep their goodies on the shelf for long!

6. Capers

Come for the food but stay for the rich atmosphere and soulful music at Capers in Belleville. With craft beer on-tap, and enormous menu of wine, beer and cocktails and casual-meets-fine-dining options including pull-apart baked ciabatta and roasted chicken leg coconut chickpea curry, you can fill your tummy and then fill your soul with their weekly musical guests showcasing the sounds of blues, acoustic and folk music.

7. The Lark

Whether you’re looking for an evening cocktail or a full dine-in meal, The Lark is the place to wind down after a hard days work. Try their Suburban Divorce (vodka, lychee, ginger, thai chile and lemon) and pair it with their Black Bean Carnitas (beer braised adobo bean, salasa fresca and cilantro) and finish it off with some delectable creme brulee.

8. L’Auberge de France

There is no need to travel far if you want a little taste of Paris! L’Auberge de France, located in downtown Belleville, specializes in breakfast and lunch goodies, including delicious handmade baked goods with ingredients imported directly from France. Make it a special night for two by reserving a spot at the Chef’s Table, where you can watch him prepare a sensational array of delicacies from appetizers to dessert.

9. Chilangos Mexican Restaurant

Forget everything you thought you knew about tacos, so you can experience a true Mexican taco made by traditional Mexican chefs Marlem and Abraham! This lovely family restaurant offers the true cultural experience in their flavours with mouthwatering options including a cheesy, bursting choriqueso or some crispy taco dorados botaneros!

For the perfect evening, bring your family to Paulo’s & Dinkel’s Restaurant! You can be sure to enjoy the ambiance of this adorable spot, while receiving the best service from their lovely staff, because they take care of every detail of your eating experience. Try some of Paulo’s delectable cajun scallops, or keep it simple with a yummy pizza or (and) pasta.

11. Sans Souci Cafe

Voted Belleville’s best caterer, lunch location and overall best restaurant by the Belleville Intelligencer, Sans-Souci is perfect for a light brunch, or a big event! Stop in at their cafe to order yourself one of their delightful soup and salad combos, such as chicken peameal bacon club paired with their daily soup specials. 12. Caribbean Jerk Spot

Jerk and curries and roti, oh my! If you like authentic Jamaican food then this is up your alley.
