Spring has sprung and the festival season has begun!

1. Juvenis Festival
April 27th – May 7th, 2023
Calling all youth! What do two musicals, an art gallery, a creative storytelling event and workshops have in common? The Juvenis Festival, of course! The Festival is running from April 27 to May 7, 2023, and is specifically designed for youth from 13 years old to 30 years old. Fun fact: the festival is one of only two youth arts festivals in all of Canada! Young people involved in the Juvenis Festival can take free workshops to build on their skills and also to act, sing, dance, and perform to feature their talents!
2. Corks & Forks
April 21st – 22nd, 2023
Over 100+ Canadian wines will be ready for you to sip and sample while you meet the talented winemakers. Take in seminars and masterclasses to learn from the country’s top Sommeliers, wine writers and industry pros.
3. I Heart Beer & Taco Festival
April 29th, 2023
Beer lover’s rejoice! Attendees can expect a wide variety of sampling from 18 brewery and distillery vendors, board games, music, and more

4. Maple Weekend SDG
April 1st – 2nd
This is a province-wide event showcasing how Ontario Maple Syrup is made, but in SDG Counties there are producers who take Maple Weekend to the next level! The public is invited to tour sugar operations, taste the real syrup, walk sugarbush trails, enjoy pancake brekkies, and learn about all things maple. See which producers in SDG Counties are hosting events. Experience the traditional maple sugaring craft and taste why pure Ontario maple syrup is a favourite springtime treat!

7. Brockville Railway Tunnel Opening
April 6th, 2023
Walk through Canada’s first railway tunnel and experience a light and sound show as you immerse yourself in the local culture! With free admission, the incredible Brockville Railway Tunnel is opening for the season in April and runs from Brockville’s waterfront, half a kilometre directly under the City. 8. Maple Weekend in Kemptville
April 1st – 2nd, 2023
Get your maple on April 1 and 2 during Maple Weekend! This province-wide weekend is dedicated to nature’s gold – maple syrup. Check out the events happening at The Kemptville Campus – Agroforestry Centre, an 18-acre operating sugarbush. On the Bend Sugar Shack is partnering with the centre and the Peter Wensink Maple Forest to offer tours, pancakes, live music and taffy pulls! Be sure to bring home some on-site maple products. Springtime just got sweeter!
9. Delta Maple Syrup Festival
April 15th – 16th, 2023
Get ready to celebrate the sweetness of spring! The Delta Maple Syrup Festival is set for April 15 and 16, 2023 in the village of Delta. This family-friendly festival has been bringing together maple lovers of all ages for 56 years to enjoy pancake breakfasts, fun competitions, children’s activities, a giant book sale, milling and blacksmith demonstrations, vendors selling all things maple and much more!

10. Raisin River Canoe Race
April 15th, 2023
The Raisin River Canoe Race is one of the longest canoe races in Eastern Ontario. First started in 1973, the 30-kilometre race runs from St. Andrews to Williamstown. The race is always held during the spring freshest when water levels are high and flows are favourable for paddlers. The annual RRCA event has become an immensely popular rite of spring for both residents and visitors to the area.
11. CAPE (Cornwall & Area Pop Event)
April 22nd – 23rd, 2023
The Cornwall & Area Pop Event – or CAPE for short – returns on Saturday, April 22nd and Sunday, April 23rd with a full roster of celebrity guests, artists, cosplayers, exhibitors, panels and much more. The two-day comic and pop culture convention takes place at the Benson Centre.
12. Museum of L&A

Delve into the stories of Lennox & Addington and unravel interactive history at your fingertips. Share stories, browse exhibits and marvel at the extensive heritage on display at the Museum of Lennox & Addington, providing both regional and national context. A new exhibit, Letters Home, dives into an extensive series of letters as part of the Tamworth Red Cross collection written by soldiers from the village of Tamworth who were serving overseas during the Second World War. The letters share local soldiers’ lives in real-time during the chaos of serving in the war. Another new exhibit is Refuge Canada, which brings to light the challenges faced by people who came to Canada as refugees. The travelling exhibition created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, draws on oral histories, archival images, artifacts and interactives to engage museum-goers and share the stories of refugees.
13. Laser-Guided Stargazing Tours
April 14th – 15th, 2023
It’s dark – except for the thousands of stars laid out above you. See the night sky like never before at the Dark Sky Viewing Area in Lennox & Addington. Known as Ontario’s most southerly dark sky site, thousands of visitors come to view a night sky almost completely unobstructed by light pollution. Last fall saw some construction upgrades to the site to make it more visitor-friendly – check it out at the first stargazing event of the season in mid-April!

14. Bata Maples Sugarbush
April 1st – 2nd, 2023
Liquid gold anyone? Maple Weekend is set for April 1 and 2 across Ontario – and Bata Maples is ready to showcase sugarmaking! The only weekend of the year that they’re open to the public, the sugarbush and sap shack will be buzzing with activity. During Maple Weekend, Bata Maples will be hosting an open house with fresh product for sale.
