You can cycle The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail or take the Shoreline Route which takes you along Lake Ontario and the apple orchards and vineyards that dominate this route.  Stop in at popular spots like MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company in Bath or the Loaded Pierogi in Napanee.  

After a full day of cycling, soothe your butt pain (you know what we’re talking about!) at Shoeless Joe’s, Santorini Mediterranean Grill or The Loaf N’ Ale, then check into a room at one of the areas cozy B&B’s or Inns.

Cycling routes will take you to different parts of the island from Big Sandy Bay Conservation Area through rolling farmland, wetlands and rural architecture.

Take time to relax and fuel up at Wolfe Island Grill or if you’re visiting on the weekend, enjoy brunch at The Hotel on Wolfe Island. Farm-to-table food from a talented and creative chef with occasional music accompaniment makes this stop very popular. Stay the night at The Hotel to catch their nightly music events.

Wolfe Island Riverfront Golf Course – Wolfe Island Riverfront Golf Course is a 9 hole, par 35 course offers breathtaking views of the majestic St. Lawrence River from every hole. See ships of the world sailing by or catch a glimpse of the resident pair of nesting Ospreys.

Heading east out of Kingston you have options of taking smaller routes like Hwy’s 15 and 38 if driving, or jumping on the K&P Trail for a great cycling route around the County. 

Take a little detour to visit local businesses, have a picnic, and enjoy the country views. Support small-scale agriculture by grabbing freshly made snacks, fresh farm products, and their famous organic ice cream at Limestone Organic Creamery at 3127 Sydenham Rd, Elginburg. Their unique flavours of organic ice cream are simply wonderful!
